Makeup Tips: How to Apply Eyeliner to the Lower Lid for a Natural Look

"Hi, I'm Syvia Lewis. I'm here with Modern Mom and we're going to teach Lisa here how to put on eyeliner; how to apply it ourselves. So Lisa I'm going to hand this over to you. "Okay." I know you probably know what's there; but what you're going to do is just bring the pencil in up to your lower eyelid; we'll start there; lower eyelid. "Lower, okay." Yeah. So what you would be doing is we're not going to actually put on right now; but so, you would start with this outer corner of your eye and bring it into where the lash line ends keeping it kind of close up into the lash line there and that's just going to make your eyelashes look a little bit thicker. And actually it's kind of a neutral color there; "Okay"; so the; "Just outline", yeah, gently just kind of bring it in. "See I never know when to stop." If you want to open your eyes, if you want them to, "Yes", if you begin here, you will stop halfway. You just want to do it on, yeah just go ahead and, "I'll stop about right there"; yeah just stop right about there. So what you can do is kind of make that a little bit thicker. Yeah, here you go. "Is that alright?" That's perfect. "So outside", so just starting with the outside end, just be; yes; just bringing it in. "See I think, I've always done the opposite; but, there we go." "And how dark a shade is a good choose 'cause". Black is pretty harsh. I would probably go with the dark brown if I wanted to just open my eyes up and brighten them. You could use color for fun. I would use a light brown just for an everyday; "Okay"; so it doesn't really stand out but it just kind of looks like your eyelashes are nice and thick."
