Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Watch the video first. Assemble all tools in a well lighted work area. Study the diagram (on the video) of the armature for bending and laminating the plywood.

  2. Step 2

Cut base and plywood to sizes indicated to build this board. Principles of construction are the same for any type of board, so you can make an original shape, design or pattern based on your preferences.

  3. Step 3

Use blocks of wood attached to the base to form the camber under the board and a kick-tail in the back.

  4. Step 4

Cut the plywood that will become the skateboard deck to size.

  5. Step 5

Apply urethane glue to one side of one board. Apply a thin coat of water to the other board, also on one side.

  6. Step 6

Carefully align the 2 wet surfaces toward one another, and press together.

  7. Step 7

Align the 2 joined boards in the jig for bending the boards.

  8. Step 8

Apply pressure by pumping up the jack, being careful to keep all pressures centered and straight.

  9. Step 9

Use the deck screws around the parameter of the boards, into the base board and draw down tightly, but not so tight that you bend or distort the laminations.

  10. Step 10

Leave assembly in the mold for 24 hours before removing.
