"The question was asked how to start in high school baseball. Well to keep from ending up over here in the dugout on the bench with the rest of the reserves, you're going to need to be one of the nine best players on your high school team and to accomplish that you're going to have to do your preparation and get prepared for being one of the nine best players on your team. You probably need to go get some hitting lessons or some fielding instructions or some pitching lessons. You need to get yourself in perfect shape, get on a good Summer team with a good Summer program so you can get some valuable experience and gain some repetitions doing it the correct way and try to get around someone that's a good fundamental coach. You're going to have to get your game together. So go out and play on a good Summer team, get lots of practice, get some quality instruction and get prepared to do the very best you can so you can start your high school baseball team and that's how you start. You have got to be one of the nine best. Good luck to you."
