Hi, I'm Warren Cardinal, founder of Lucid Crew in Austin, Texas. I'm going to show you a quick and easy way to build a Flash website. I'm going to start with a Flash template that I purchased and downloaded. You can find a lot of Flash templates at various sites that load content from xml feeds which makes them very easy to change outside of Flash and with no knowledge of Flash. So this is a site that has a lot of animation features and everything that you expect from a Flash site. So you can have a very cool professional site with, hopefully very little work. You can change the backgrounds; lots of things. So this is what we're going to do. I've loaded the files into Dreamweaver so we can see the files that make up this site. And we have the index.html that just has the Flash movie itself embedded into it; we're not going to worry about that. So we find the xml document that represents the homepage. This is one; this side is html.xml. You can see that the text matches the homepage and so if we edit this and save; we can go back to the site and you can see that very simply the text has change. Now it's going to be about us page. You can see that it just has place holders instead of images here. So we want to find the xml that belongs to the about us page. So in this case the xml for the about us page is called identity. So you can see you at Google and this place holder images are right here. So if I change this to my main picture and I've already put in this swift thumbnails folder, change that; come back to the site; now you can see my picture. And I can change this one here and we'll make this be Patria and save it; and there we have two people. We can switch out as many as we want. Same thing for news and I can see this news page here; if I go to the news.xml, I can see all the news stories and how this page works as. I have a list of the items that just has their title on them; when I click on it, it appears on this site; okay. So I'm going to change this top one to be; so I'm going to change that. So now you see our newest post and if I click on that it says the text and if I add some additional post I just follow this same format here. I can replace out this description with anything I want. So if I go back over to the site and go to news, you can see our newest news post. Anything I want, put on the next one so they're automatically added. Same thing goes for every section of the site; everything has an xml file that will allow you to change the thumbnail, the description; add and change anything in the menu navigation; anything that you want. So this is a great new way to be able to make your own Flash website without knowing Flash.
