Hi, my name is Tanya Batts and I'm a personal trainer at Gold's Gym. I want to talk to you today about core rhythm exercises. Ever since Dancing With the Stars kind of came on the scene the whole dance workout scene has just really exploded. Core rhythm is kind of a program that you can buy off the TV or the internet and it is all about Latino dancing, but I'm going to show you what you can do without buying that. Just a simple few steps. I mean as simple as one, two, three because the count is one, two, three. I'm going to teach you the Merengue. Starting with your right leg, one, two, three, one, two, three. So you start with the leg, simple, right leg, left leg, ba, ba. Then once you get it, kind of add the hips and go o'kay, working the core, then you lift the arms and once you get it, it's one, two, three, one, two, three, ba, ba, ba, ba, ba, ba. You can do that doing dishes, no big deal. If you have got nowhere to go, sit there and work the hips. It burns the core, burning calories. Here's another one. Mambo, left leg, mambo, cha, cha, cha. I'm doing it on an angle so you can kind of see what I'm doing, cha, cha, cha, right leg, and left leg. So that's the footwork. Once you kind of get the footwork, start adding a little bit of hip. See what's happening, uh huh, cha, cha, cha, mambo, cha, cha, cha. Then you add the arms, making little circles around the rib cage, mambo, cha, cha, cha. Speed it up, put you some Latino music on and go crazy, cha, cha, cha, mambo, cha, cha, cha. That's just a few things you can do to work the core. You can crump, uh, uh, uh. Core rhythms, that's what you've got to do. So get up, get off the couch and burn those pounds off.
