Hi, this is Kevin Battersby with in Coconut Creek, Florida. Let's talk about making the cut in golf. For instance on the tour, a hundred and fifty, sixty, seventy players will start the tournament, they're not all going to finish the tournament for Saturday and Sunday. They'll go home on Friday but they'll miss the cut. What happens is they'll play their first round and they'll shoot their score. Usually the cut in a major tournament is higher than a normal tournament. But let's take for example the cut's four under after two rounds. Any player that's three under and higher which means three under, two under, one under and over par actually goes home for the week. They miss the cut, they don't get a check. One of the advantages of making the cut even if you're at the cut line, which you might be one of the last players that's make the cut but you're going to get a nice size check on the tour. It can be anywhere from six to eight, ten thousand depending on the tournament. On the senior tour, since the senior players aren't playing four rounds like the normal event, actually the tour does have a six, five round event, the Bob Hope, so that cut would usually be after three rounds. But the senior tour has three rounds they play. So normally the cut would be after two rounds. So a lot of the players won't get to play on Sunday. But they'll usually make a check. Senior tours are very gracious with their money and even if you don't make the cut you still make something. Another term that you might hear in reference to the cut on the tour is the bubble. You'll hear the telecasters on Sunday say, or on Saturday say, this guy was just on the bubble which means he just made the cut and then for him to win the tournament, just making the cut really is a tall order.
