"Hi my name is Tanya Batts and I'm a personal trainer at Gold's Gym. How to trim down your waist. The waist is a tough area and a lot of trouble area for a lot of people men and women. I could tell someone to do 1,000 crunches a day, not going to make a difference unless you get that layer of fat off that six pack. So you've got to make sure you are eating right. You have got to make sure you are burning off more calories than you're taking in but I still want you to get the overall core strength and if you do a few abdominal exercises along with that you know getting some cardio in you're going to start seeing a difference. Here's just a few things you can do to kind of slim and trim that waist, just a few things. Simple, we're going to start all the way down on the floor, we're going to take the legs straight up, you're just going to lower and lift the legs, inhale and exhale. If your low back is coming off the floor you want to do a triangle with your hands to make sure the low back stays on the mat. Another one, fingertips, opposite elbow, opposite knee, inhale and exhale. That one's just going to get a little bit oblique action, good stuff. Another simple move head on the floor is a reverse curl. You're just lifting the hips off the floor that one is going to start to burn. Another one, just a simple one, you're here you are balancing on your tailbone, low back and your back is straight, you can keep the feet on the floor, pretend you have got a weighted ball or grab a weight, it's going to burn the core. Another great one, plank. So if you're new to kind of the whole exercise scene, elbows under shoulders, knees is a great way to start but when you get stronger you'll be able to lift the knees off and hold plank. Maybe shift forward, shift bank, then you can come on your side, fingertips on the head, touch the elbow, that's oblique. That's going to start to burn. You can even lower the hip and lift it right here. You're going to be cut, slim and trim. Those are just a few things you can do to tighten, tone, and slim that waist."
