Hello, my name is Miriam Behar with makeupartistmiriam.com. In this clip, I'm going to show you how to apply mascara without clumps. You're going to need your mascara, an eyelash comb, and you'll only need this if you're applying it to someone else. But I'm going to use a disposable mascara wand. So first you're going to open your bottle of mascara, and then you dip the wand in to the mascara. Alright, let me just have you look down for a minute. O.k., then you take the skin underneath the eyebrow and gently raise it just slightly. And I'm turning the brush as I'm applying it to the eyelashes. Some people like to apply mascara on side to side motions and that's o.k. too. There's really no wrong way to do it. But sometimes that makes it a little bit easier for the product to clump. After you've applied the mascara, Then you want to go back over it with the comb to separate any clumps that make have occurred. Just be very careful around the eye area, especially if you are doing this to yourself so that you don't accidentally injure yourself. And then you can just take a little cue tip and clean up any extra that may have accidentally gotten on to the eyelid. So now I'll go to the next eye. As you'll see I'm turning the mascara brush, I'm not moving it in a side to side motion. As I mentioned before sometimes that can cause it to clump more.
