The way to postpone your menstrual period; it's a, there's two different patients in this process. First, if you are already taking birth control pills or, or any form of birth control pill containing hormones, what you can do is alter the way you take these medications to help you achieve postponing your period. For example, the, the standard twenty eight day birth control pills contain twenty one days of hormones and seven days of what we call placebo pill, does not contain any hormones. If you wish to, and, and during those seven days, that's when you have your period; if you wish to eliminate that and postpone your period, what you can simply do is start your next pill pack at the beginning of that seven-day period and just continue forward with that pill pack. At whichever point you wish to achieve a period, you just simply take the placebo pills and at that point you will experience a menstrual period. Now if you are not in any kind of birth control containing hormones, then the way to postpone your period would be to start one of these medications. There are many products available to help you do this. The most common usually comes in the form of birth control pills. But the, another option would be for example an IUD containing hormone, specifically progesterone that can decrease your, the amount of flow in your menstrual period and in some women can even eliminate the menstrual period altogether.
