"Hi, this is Dr. Loretta Ciraldo from drloretta.com, board certified dermatologist and author of six weeks to sensational skin. In this clip, we're going to talk about how to use cocoa butter on your skin. First thing I'm going to tell you is if you'd like to use it, and it's a nice thing to use, do take off your rings, because cocoa butter is a little bit buttery and we don't want it to kind of congregate and grease up your rings. But I brought with me my own bottle of the Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula, which has literally been around for decades, and as you'll see cocoa butter is a very good ingredient in terms of really helping you to retain moisture in your skin. And when we're talking about areas like the hands, which we're constantly washing, certainly physicians are, many job types... if you're a nurse, a waitress, a bartender, a housewife, anything like this where you're washing your hands a lot, it's very nice to have some cocoa butter right at your sink with you. So the first thing you're going to see in how to use the cocoa butter is that it's wonderfully moisturizing, but also what's so good about it is it seeps right in, so it's really giving you invisible moisture. And many people do prefer this to something like a Vaseline or a really petroleum based product where you see that there's a little bit of greasiness to your skin. So, how do you want to be using it? Well, we recommend first of all, first thing of the day, when you come out of your shower, put on that cocoa butter. And then if you have it around your sink, it's a very good thing to remember that every time we wash our hands, we're actually drying out our skin. So during the course of the day, you want to have your cocoa butter and you want to be putting it on your hands. I also highly recommend that you keep it at your sink for your hands, but think about putting it also on your feet every morning and night. And it's going to give you that very dewy appearance and the velvety feel that well moisturized skin does have. Thank you. This has been Dr. Loretta Ciraldo."
