"Hi, this is Zephyr Clarke-Dolberg with Miami Dog Training in Miami, Florida. In this clip we're going to give you some information on housebreaking your puppy and we're going to give you a couple of tips here. And one thing is, right, if you have a puppy like this particular one, that has no problem going in a crate, as long as she has a little bit of space, you really want to, you know, make sure that , that she's got a small area, that she has enough to circle and lie down. Right, this crate is about the size of her. So that's one tip, give them a small space, control, you know, control their environment. Another tip I can give you, is, is a great, is a nice long leash, you know maybe a fifteen foot leash is ideal, and that's you know, as a another aspect of housebreaking you, you want your dog following you room to room so that they know that their place is in the same room as you, this way you have control of them when they're in the house, and you're not running around after them. You're keeping them on a line, and in the house and letting them get used to that. Now another tip that's great, if your dog does start barking just a regular water bottle, set, set like a squirt gun, you know and if the dog's barking, you just look at them, NO, and you squirt, right, squirt right in their eyes, right in their nose, they don't like it. Those are three great trips, tips, that I can give you as far as you know, house training your dog. The other thing is too, that you want to feed them in the crate and always let your dog have a supply of water, however you do want to limit their supply of water and food. So you know, those are some, a couple of things to think about while you're housebreaking your puppy. Once again, this is Zephyr Clarke-Dolberg, thanks for watching."
