"Hi I'm Dr. Grace Wang, I'm a medical oncologist working at Advanced Medical Specialties in Miami, Florida. I'm here on the behalf of the Susan G. Komen foundation. Let's talk about the symptoms of inflammatory breast carcinoma. Basically it looks like a rash. It looks like an infection of the breast. Sometimes you get signs that look like an orange peel. You have port orange and you see these little dimpling of your skin, but very frequently it is mistaken as an infection. And it truly is an advanced stage of carcinoma and looks like a rash. Basically an inflammatory cancer is very serious and you need to seek attention with a doctor who will do a biopsy and then the treatment is usually a combination of modalities that can include chemotherapy, and surgery and radiation and possibly hormonal therapy."
