"Alright, what we're going to talk about is, napping the flint and stuff like that on, on a black powder rifle with a flinter. Purpose of napping the flint is to keep the flint really sharp to where when it hits the frizzen right here, it, it causes a spark, the spark goes down in the pan, which ignites the powder, goes through the venthole, ignites the powder in the bell, makes the gun go off. That's the purpose of the flint, and that's what a flint, a flint lock is. So, to nap the flint, you've got a napping hammer and stuff like that, to nap it. We take the hammer, you hit that right here on the edge like that. We take the napping hammer, and we just hit the edge of the flint right there and just nap. That's called napping the flint, it makes that really sharp. If you're not careful, you slice your finger on that really easy. Just makes it really sharp where it hits the frizzen, causes a spark, makes the gun go off."
