"Hello we are talking right now about the disadvantage of wireless networking. Really simply the first disadvantage of wireless networking is security. There are essentially two ways you ought to go with security. Either on one hand the security is too lax meaning that pretty much anybody can get in and do whatever they want to do or it is so secure that it makes connecting very clunky or very disjointed. The next disadvantage of wireless networking is coverage. Sometimes you might have someone who goes back to the far corner of your office and that is they can't get a good enough signal to connect to your wireless network. That moves you right into number three is connection issues. Sometimes someone might go to a dead spot within your office where they can't get connected or they have such a low signal that they'll get connected but the connection will just drop in and out. That is very very annoying and frustrating both for them and for IT people and the last disadvantage to wireless networking is hardware compatibility issues. Some of what I've seen is that in some instances where you have an older machine with an older wireless card in it the security encryption that exists on that card is not compatible with necessarily what you use within your infrastructure and I've seen that where you try to set a good security protocol but because of the age of the machine that doesn't work so hardware compatibility isn't so much an issue these days but it does exist with wireless networking."
