"Good afternoon, my name is tom Brintzenhofe, Certified Master Mechanic out of Redding, Pennsylvania and today I'm going to talk a little bit about some of the ways, some of the mechanical ways of improving your gas mileage. Now the most simple way is routine maintenance. You want to make sure your, your spark plugs and everything like that is, is in good shape and your belts, your pull aids; you want to make sure they're all, they re all free and clear. Mechanical wise, is just, is really there's not too many mechanical ways you can increase your fuel economy outside of maybe changing the gear ratios in your front and rear axles; that is basically your only mechanical way of, of increasing your fuel, your gas mileage. The biggest parts of increasing your fuel economy is making sure your maintenance is up and done; your spark plugs replaced; your filters are change at least thirteen, fifteen thousand, thirty thousand miles. Make sure your transmission fluid is, is full. Change every thirty thousand at least. Mechanical wise, like I said before, outside of changing gear ratios, that's about the only way you're going to go to mechanically changing your fuel economy so that's just routine maintenance, routine maintenance and routine maintenance."
