"Hi, I'm Miss Nancy, I'm an elementary school teacher here in Tampa, Florida and the mother of three. And, today we're going to practice how to make a sock snowman. Step one is to turn your sock inside out, so you have that fuzzy part outside, kind of resembles snow. And, you're going to want to have a long sock in this case, even if it's a baby sock, make sure it's the kind that has a significant amount of elasticity on the top. Step two is we're going to stuff our sock snowman. We're taking construction paper and we're wadding it up. You want to help me? Thanks! We're stuffing it inside and you don't have to use construction paper, you can use old pantyhose, you can use other socks. Maybe one more, good, more, maybe two. Good job! Got it? And, last one, let's do one more. Alright. So, now we have our sock, inside out so the fuzzy part's outside, using our pipe cleaner to secure it so that the stuffing doesn't come back out. And now, we're going to fold this over to give him an all important snowman cap. I recommend folding it over twice, I just think it looks a little better. This one doesn't seem to want to fold over twice, but I still recommend it. Now, we need to have a nice firm head for our snowman, so if we could have another pipe cleaner please. Thank you! Oh not yet, hold onto the mouth, we'll get there. Wrap it around the front, let's give him a little bow tie, and we need at least one more, because of course a snowman is made of, how many circles is a snowman made of guys? Three, three. I need one more pipe cleaner then. Thank you! And, I'm going to tie this pipe cleaner in back. It's white so you can't really see it. That's true, that one is white so you can't really see it, but that's o.k, it's snow, snow is white. And, I'm just looping this in back to make it nice and tight. So, we've got three distinct circles. But, you know what our snowman is missing? He's missing a face. We're going to need to make a face in the snow. Oh, thank goodness! We have somebody to the rescue to make a smile. Alright, we're going to need some eyes for our snowman. Now, you can use, like we're going to use little googly eyes with a drop of glue on the back. Can I have a drop of glue? Oh good job, good job! Alright, we need one more eye please. If you have little children, young, under the age of two or three, we strongly recommend that you don't use googly eyes, that you continue to draw the eyes because you don't want to risk the kids chocking on little tiny parts. And, you know how kids will just glue them onto the stuff and sleep with it every night and make you wash it a hundred times. So again make sure, oh perfect, good, good, good! Alright, and there we have our snowman. Oh excellent! In this case we're drawing the buttons on our snowman, but you can always use beads. If you happen to be very crafty and you want to sew these things on, it's all up to you. You can even use pipe cleaners for arms. The point is just to decorate it with the kids and have fun. And, that is a sock snowman."
