"Hi, I'm Miss Nancy. I'm an elementary school teacher here in Tampa, Florida, and the mother of three children. Today, we are going to learn how to make a sock baby. He has some stickers on him. He needs some stickers on him? She's going to help put stickers on this one while we make another one. Here you go babe, all right. First thing is you're going to need a sock. You can use a large tube sock, or if you want miniature sock babies you can always use a kids sock. Just make sure it has plenty of length with the stripe part and plenty of the elasticity. You're also going to need some construction paper; at least three or four sheets and we recommend glue and eyes, but in a pinch you can always use stickers or even just draw them on. And of course, you're going to need a marker for that very important sock baby smile. First thing we're going to do is take our sock and with the help of our lovely assistant, thank you lovely assistant, we're going to squish up some paper. Not too tight, cause' the whole point is being able to stuff the sock. Now, we're going to take a pipe cleaner and securely tie the top. You're not going to see this part so you can use any part, any color pipe cleaner you want. We just want to get it nice and tight, nice and tight on top of this because this part is going to be our sock baby's head. Now that it's nice and tight fold it once all the way down to make his little cap or her little cap, depending on the gender of your sock baby, and fold it one more time, there we go. Now, our sock baby needs a neck, and we're going to make a baby, a pink sock baby, all right. Our lovely assistant will tie that right around there and turn it once, there you go, to make it secure, perfect, so that our sock baby has almost a little bow. As a matter of fact, just for the joy of it we'll turn those in and make it a regular bow. Now, our sock baby needs some eyes so we're going to take two eyes, and if my lovely assistant will ready the glue one little drop of glue on the back of each eye should work. Now remember, if you have really young children you're going to want to be careful, cause' you don't want them to get to a hold of these little eyes and swallow them. In the case of really young children you may want to choose to draw the eyes on. And another drop of glue for me please, thank you. All right, now this sock baby's going to need a smile. Can you put a smile on there for me, perfect. We need a nose, we need a nose. We need a nose? Apparently, we need a nose, too. Wanna' do one of those? You can decorate your sock baby in any way you'd like. It definitely makes a very sweet and fun craft. So, that's the basic of how to make a sock baby. May I borrow this for a second, yes. But, you can certainly dress it up in any exciting way you want. I put a, I put a same nose on it. She put the same nose on it. That, of course, is how to make a sock baby."
