"Today we're going to talk about how to give a home fruit facial, and, you know, some people are really not the girlie-girls and don't have all the great products on the shelf, so I'm going to give you some tips about things that you can use that are found right in your home, every day to go ahead and actually complete one of these facials without having to take an expensive trip to the beauty supply store. First of all, you're going to need some supplies and what I recommend, just a simple large glass or metal bowl from your kitchen with hot, steaming hot water in it. Sometimes I'll just take my tea kettle, and boil some water in that to use in that bowl, and that's why I recommend glass or metal. The next thing you'd want is some fresh and clean towels and face cloths, a typical cleanser that you would use that's appropriate for your skin type. You can use something that foams, would be a good idea because we're going to want to degrease the skin when we start and then to make a fruit mask, we're going to recommend banana, strawberry and kiwi. If you don't have those specific fruits, you want to look for some citrus fruit. Something like, I would say, oranges would work. A little orange juice, a little lemon juice. Pineapple would work really well because we do use a lot of pineapple enzymes in that type of a mask. Those things are going to be used for your facial mask. Then what you're going to need is a little bit of moisturizer, and if you don't have a moisturizer and again, you're not a girlie-girl, you can use a couple drops of olive oil at the end of your facial, and then what you'll do is you'll just cleanse your face, rinse it very well. You don't want to be abrasive. So you just maybe want to use a foaming wash and use it with your hands and massage it into the skin, rinse well, dry and then you're going to steam your face over that hot bowl of water over with a large bath towel over your head so that you can actually capture the steam for at least five minutes. What this is going to do is open up the pores, get everything kind of softened up and then you're going to go ahead and put your fruit mask on, and that's going to be your fruit ingredients that we discussed. You can mash those up with a fork in a small bowl, strawberry, kiwi and banana, and then smooth that over the face and leave it on the face. My recommendation is just lie down for a good five, ten, fifteen minutes. Whatever you can tolerate. You might feel some tingling during this time because the fruit contains some enzymes that are going to eat the sugar and the dead protein that's on your face. So once that's done, you're going to rinse it off. Probably fifteen minutes is the max that you would want to leave that on, rinse it with some cool water, really well. Dry your face and then proceed with a moisturizer. If you have a toner, it'd be a good idea to tone with a mist over your face before you moisturize to close the pores. If you don't, a moisturizer will help. Just moisturize with an appropriate moisturizer for your skin, and if you don't have one, just like two drops of olive oil would be great, and that would be a home fruit facial."
