"Hello, I'm Chris Bryce from Superservice.com. Today we're going to talk about how to maintain your PC. There's a couple of different aspects to maintaining your PC. One, is the actual speed of the system and performance. The other is the exterior of the computer, trying to keep things clean, and keep dust and that from collecting. So we'll talk about the actual software side of things first. Maintaining your PC software wise is actually pretty simple. The key to remember is don't add a lot of software that you don't need. People tend to look at the free softwares out there like virus checking softwares and Google tool bars and things that you can add to your computer, and they add as many of those as they can because they're free. I would say to try to stay back from that. If you've got a tool bar that you want to add such as Google or Yahoo, go ahead and add one of them, but try to stay clear of adding three or four different tool bars to your internet explorer. The next thing is to look at your antivirus softwares and your spyware softwares. Having three or four different antivirus prevention softwares just doesn't make any sense, and all it does is bog down your computer and slow it down. So the key is to make sure you only have one type of antivirus software, and one type of spyware software on there such as Windows Defender. Keeping the softwares to where you're not adding a lot everyday will definitely make the speed of your system stay maintained. The next thing to look at is the exterior of the computer, the actual cleansing method of the system itself, keeping dust down, and keeping debris out of the fans in the back and that. The easiest way to do that is with one of the canned dusters. Now you can get these for six or seven dollars, or you can also look at a small air compressor. Now the air compressors you can buy for a fifty to sixty dollars at your local Wal-Marts or Targets, and this will allow you to save on not having to continuously replace those air dusters. Plus, it's better for the environment. And that's the best way to maintain your PC."
