"This is how we actually get certified to dive. There's three parts to certification. There's the classroom portion, the pool portion, and then the open water dives. Now, the classroom portion takes place here at our shop, or any local dive center. And we happen to be a patty facility. You can in one weekend you can get the classroom portion and the pool portion done. In the first portion, you're going to learn things such as dive safety, you're going to learn how to use the equipment, you're going top learn how to equalize. Those are all things that you might go through in your first academic session. Then we're going to actually get the gear on and we're going to go in the pool. And you might learn things such as mask clearing. How to air procedures. You're going to learn how to set up your gear. And you're going to spend a good portion of the time working on buoyancy and practicing diving. In third portion, you're going to go to either a local reservoir, or possibly the Caribbean to finish your certification. And at the open waters, you're actually being tested to on all the skills that you've actually done in the pool. The only difference is it's actually in a real environment. And once you get certified, it's a lifetime certification. And the certification, you have to have a certification to be able to get on to any dive boat. They will not allow you on unless you have that certification card. but once you are certified, you get to dive in beautiful environments such as the Galapagos, Indonesia, Fiji, those are all different areas you could go."
