"Hi, my name is Virginia, and I'm here at Encore Gymnastics, and we are going to teach you how to do a perfect cartwheel. It's really important to remember that whenever you do any sort of gymnastics, you want to make sure you stretch out all your muscles. For a cartwheel, some important muscles to stretch would be your wrist, so on your hand and knees, you can stretch them back, flip them over flip them over stretch them forward. Always be very careful with your muscles, you don't want to overstretch them and hurt yourself, so get a nice stretch. And then we're also going to stretch our ankles, and you're also going to want to stretch your Achilles with a nice heel stretch, over the top, hands down. Some other muscles you're going to want to stretch are straddles, you're going to want to stretch your hamstrings, straddle splits you can open those legs up nice and wide like this, reaching in the middle; (very nice, and come up Amanda). Whenever you start your cartwheel, you're going to want to start in a nice lunge, (so let's see a nice lunge). It's important when you do a lunge, start stretched, and as you go in, you want to make sure there's a straight line from your fingertips all the way down to your heel. As you go into your cartwheel, you're going to turn your shoulders, push, kick this leg in back, push off the front leg, through, hands down, nice big wide straddle, turn the hips, arms finish up, again, nice straight line between your wrist to your ankle, and then finish. Can we see that in full effect. Arms up, (come forward a little bit), nice lunge, big stretch, over the top, push through the toes, finish arms up, and it's finished. And there is your perfect cartwheel."
