"Hi, I'm Ken Kashabura, personal trainer and free lance fitness writer, and I'm here to talk about the benefits of exercise. Did you know that consistent exercise lowers your resting heart rate. If you lower your resting heart rate by just ten beats per minute, your heart is going to save fourteen thousand, four hundred beats per day. Also, if you're going to a health club, the benefits of exercise is, you're going to, first of all you're going to increase your muscle mass by training weights. Okay? Increasing your muscle mass gives you that toned look, okay, so you can see your muscles. But whenever you also increase your muscle mass, it's going to increase your metabolism. Your muscles are like a fireplace in the house of your body, and the more fireplaces you have, the hotter it gets in there, and the higher your metabolism's going to be. And then when your metabolism's high, you're going to cut fat, your cardiovascular system is improving. You're opening up your blood vessels. Your heart's getting stronger. Resting heart rate's going down. And top of all that, it's really a mood elevator. And then whenever your hormones are really stirring exercise, even during sleep, and they're going to be released more often, the happy hormones. And then they're going to be released more during the day, so you're going to have an overall elevated mood. I'm Ken Kashabura, and those are the benefits of exercise."
