"Hi, I'm Joe Cuenco, with Family Resources. Today, we're going to be talking about how to get creative in our relationships. Specifically, how to make a clever marriage proposal. Well, how do we go about making a clever marriage proposal? Well, before we go, and put our creative thinking caps on. First of all, we need to make sure that we get a gauge, a good barometer of where we are in a relationship, that we're actually ready to make that proposal. We need to make sure that the foundation fundamentals there, love, trust, respect, friendship, and communication exist, before we can actually take that plunge, because if we're getting ready to make this level of commitment, it's important that we address these things, which are going to be keys, the key dimensions to making our lives together successful, so then once we get to that point, it really becomes a question of with any production, what is your budget? so what is it that you want to do? Do you want to have a marriage proposal in sky writing? Do you want to have it on the Jumbotron at a football game? Do you want to have it on a biplane banner? Perhaps you want to have something written on a cake, delivered at a restaurant, so there are many creative things that you can do, but if you want to go low budget, then just determine for yourself, how much money you're going to be able to spend, so it could be as creative, as maybe even making your own direct mail piece, sending it individually to her, or you may be going to your favorite restaurant, where they have a band. Have the band actually make the proposal to her, surprise her. Put that creative thinking cap on. You can go on the internet, google it. There's many instances, or many examples of how to make it a creative wedding proposal. It's really kind of limited by your imagination, and limited again, by your budget. Maybe doing something as corny as putting the engagement ring in her spaghetti dinner, but the whole point is that, be creative enough to where it's something that she'll remember, she'll appreciate.
