"Hi, I'm Chris Bryce with Superservice.com. Today I'd like to talk to you about how to buy computer speakers. And when you're looking for computer speakers, the main thing to look at is whether they're magnetically shielded or not. A lot of people like to take their speakers and set them next to their monitor, and if they're not magnetically shielded then you'll start to get a hue on the monitor of different colors. You'll have a pink or purple hue, and it can actually over time permanently distort or completely ruin the picture on the monitor. So you make sure when you're going out there that those speakers are actually specifically designed for computers and that they're magnetically shielded. Now, once you've picked out a magnetically shielded pair of speakers, the thing to look at is, if you want to have great quality sound for viewing DVDs or viewing home movies of any kind, or you just want the great sound for MP3s that you're listening to for music off the internet. Now if that's the case and you want to get something other than just a standard pair of speakers, then the big thing to look at is subwoofers, and also surround sound. You can get computer speakers that are just a pair of speakers, you can get them with a pair and a subwoofer, or you can get the full surround sound set, that would have a center speaker, two speakers for the monitor, a rear set of speakers, and the subwoofer all combined. These are THX Adobe certified speakers. And you can have a great listening experience for usually under a hundred dollars. Now you can sometimes spend as much as two hundred dollars on a set of these speakers, but it's all about the taste that you have, and the style of music or video that you're going to be listening for. That's how you buy computer speakers."
