How to File a Life Insurance Claim

"Hello my name is Vic Schumacher, the company is HPE Financial Services. The question was asked how do you file a life insurance claim? Let's say you are a widower and all of a sudden this life insurance must be utilized. The claim must be filed. You would contact the insurance company and the insurance company is going to ask that you provide a death certificate to prove it actually occurred. The insurance company will actually do some research to make sure that the death was not a suicide, the death was not something that causes a concern to have the policy cancelled and then the insurance company will forward immediately upon their investigation the premium or the beneficiary the benefit that they are supposed to forward. They will ask you if you want it in a lump sum, they'll ask you if you want it over a period of time. That is your decision but in order to file it you must contact the insurance company, you must have the death certificate so they can do their due diligence to make sure that this was not a falsified claim.
