"Preparing for a meeting you've called; it's important. My name is Gloria Campbell. I'm with Advantage Training Systems in St. Petersburg Florida. How to prepare for that meeting that you've called is one of those things that you want to make sure preparation time has been set aside. The first thing you want to do is determine why you are calling the meeting. The next thing is who should attend. Then make sure that you let them know in plenty of time when the meeting is going to be, where the meeting is going to be, what the topic is and what you expect from them. If you expect them to bring ideas or suggestions let people know that up front. Make sure that when you're preparing for that meeting that there's an agenda. A written agenda is always helpful. Meetings can be five minutes and be effective. They can be an hour or two hours. The important thing is that there's a purpose that it's clearly communicated. That people who are to attend the meeting and be engaged know that and that they have time to prepare.
