"Dude I'm telling you it's just not working, oh hi, today we're going to teach you how to erase the memory on your computer. Magnets, right? How to erase the memory on your computer? Well that's quite complicated you are going to require electromagnetic realligiation through electromagnetic intervention. Now look it's not quite that easy but it's not quite that complicated either. Now memory which is random access memory or the RAM actually erases every time you turn the computer off. When there is electricity going to your computer data is stored in the memory. To erase the memory on your computer simply restart your computer. When you hear a beep upon startup and the computer restarts into the operating system you'll know that you have cleared your memory. The same with PC's or MacIntosh. Once you log into your PC then you will have successfully erased the memory. Now the same on your MacIntosh. You can also simply restart the computer to clear the memory. On the MacIntosh there is also another type of RAM called Parameter RAM or P-RAM and once the computer restarts you want to hold down the command option, P and R keys as soon as you hear the first start up sound. Continue holding the keys down on the keyboard and you'll notice that the computer restarts. As soon as you hear the computer startup sound again continue holding down the keys and we recommend doing this for three times, that's two and one last time for security and on the third time simply release the keys. You have now completely cleared the memory and the Parameter Memory on the MacIntosh. Hey don't take my word for it, read the flippin' manual."

on 1/8/2009 Hi,
Memory is not a DATA Storage.
Hard drives and Solid State Drives are examples of Storage media for Data.
RAM was never meant to STORE data, but to 'HOLD' it until the Processors process Data.
