"Well I don't know, OK I'll give it a try, cool man, OK. Oh hi, today we're going to show you how scanners work. Well I guess its just like taking a picture, all you do is put the paper in and a picture comes out. How do scanners work? Well its quite complicated you see, its through the collection with charged coupled devices of light and doing an A to D conversion into the GUI. Now look, its not quite that easy but its not quite that complicated either. Scanners actually collect light using CCDs or Charged Coupled Devices. They use the CCDs to collect light from fluorescent light bulbs shining into mirrors to collect the image back onto the CCD which is then converted from light into electronic signals and sent into your computer. Like this, see? If you look inside a scanner, you'll see the fluorescent light bulb and right inside there are mirrors and the CCDs where the image is collected. OK, so look, if you want to know more about scanners, do me a favor, read the flipping manual."
