"Did you know that commercial dyes are not healthy to use while you're pregnant? I'm Lauren Roy for Sugar Hollow Farm in Phillipston, Mass. And I'm going to show you some things around your house that you can use to get a lighter color or even add some red to your hair naturally. What you're going to do to get some nice red highlights is boil some water and then use nutmeg. You can also use cherry bark and rhubarb root, and just mix it in and you're going to mix it in a heavier concentration and then just after you shampoo your hair, pour the rinse through. You can also use teabags that are made with cherry bark and other red fruits to create some nice red highlights. You can use black tea to get some darker highlights to pull out the brunette, or use black coffee. You're going to boil the water and take whatever herb or coffee that you're going to use, and put it in either tea ball or a cloth teabag, once the water is boiled you steep it for about twenty minutes. And you want a really high concentrate of the herb and a really low concentrate of the water so that it will be a nice thick, dark color like that. And then use it as a rinse in the shower after you wash your hair and it takes a while to get a color, but it will be natural. This is Lauren Roy for Sugar Hollow Farm in Phillipston, Mass"
