Religion and politics, things to talk about on a first date. This is Dr. Paul, author of Boomer Girls, A Boomer Woman's Guide to Men and Dating and host of Ask Dr. Paul. Well obviously, religion and politics would not be the subject to talk about on a first date. What do you talk about on a first date? One of the good thing to talk about possibly is what movies have you seen. Did you like these movies? What books have you read? What did you think about some item that happen with the celebrity? Things that keep a little more on the light side and then your whole idea of a first date is to probe find out what interest areas they have because you may want a second date. And if you do, you need to know what interest does this person has. Get into a movie for example and find out what character types he or she likes. How do they identify with that person? It tells a lot about people how to find out what type of individual they identify with. Find out what schools they've gone to; maybe sports to a point. Any of these things allow you to make discoveries. That's really what first dates are all about. Right? This is Dr. Paul. "May your fantasies of today be your realities of tomorrow".
