"You never get a second chance to make your first impression. How to make a great first impression on a date? This is Dr. Paul, author of Boomer Girls, A Boomer Woman's Guide to Men and Dating and host of Ask Dr. Paul. Well, the big night is now and you have the date that you've wanted for a long time. Be you male or female, this is it. How to make a great first impression? I know everyone says be yourself and that's a good thing. Don't be nervous, that's another thing. Don't ask your friend as to how to make your first impression that does not work. What works for them may not work for you and may reverse it for you. Now you're on your own. There you are. Guess what? A smile is disarming. That is a good way to make a first impression. Never let it be said, that a frown is going to make a good first impression because it will not. Tom Cruise has a way of doing that. Remember what that looks like, he kind of tilt his head and he smiles and that disarms people and that's what you want to do that helps to make a first good impression and one that will be remembered. Tilting the head, because it shows that you have an interest. Those little things don't mean much by themselves, but taking in the composite, that makes your body language look as if you're interested in the other. And the best way to make that first impression is to give that perception that you're interested in the other person; that will make it happen. This is Dr. Paul. "May your fantasies of today be your realities of tomorrow"."
