"My name is Gloria Campbell and I'm President and CEO of Advances Training Systems. Leadership, one of those qualities that's made and not born. Being a great leader requires that you be able to do several different things. First, you have to be compassionate. You have to be empathetic to the people that or under your leadership. You have to have good skills that are, of listening. We all have our situations, we all have problems, but great leaders are always in tune to what's happening with their people. They have to be motivators. They have to know what motivates person A and what motivates person B. Perfect example is that, in my particular company, I have a couple of individuals, some who are motivated simply by doing a great job. I know that they enjoy helping people. I know they enjoy making sure that people are successful. And therefore, I put them in roles that will allow them to use those skills. Great leaders know their people, they are motivators, they are mentors and they realize that they can't do everything. Their job to make other people successful. Being a great leader, remember is not born, but made. You too, with the right skills set can be an outstanding leader.
