"My name is Christine Marquette and I'm a registered dietitian at Austin Regional Clinic and I'm going to talk to you about how to eat healthy at Buffalo Wild Wings. One of the best choices at Buffalo Wild Wings is their naked tenders. These tenders don't have batter on them so they don't have a lot of extra fat and calories associated with the floured batter. So it is a really good choice. Another thing you can do is actually pair a side salad with it as opposed to french fries. If you really want to have the wings try to get the actual boneless wings because these are made with chicken breasts so it is all white meat, doesn't have a lot of extra fat to it. So it is a slightly better option than just the regular wings and you can still get it with the different flavored sauces but if you can try to avoid dipping it in the Blue Ranch Dressing, just really enjoy the flavor from the sauce that you chose for the coating of your particular wings and choose the side salad again. Try to avoid getting the french fries. If you must have the bone in wings, get the smallest order that is available. Again choose whatever sauce you want but avoid getting the Blue Ranch dipping sauce, just enjoy that flavored sauce that was actually prepared on the wings. Some of the other things to be cautious with on the menu, you really want to stay away from a lot of the other wraps, the sandwiches, most of those are going to have a lot of extra fat and calories. As far as your beverages you do want to stick with things like water, tea, any type of diet soft drink. Regular drinks whether it is tea sweetened with sugar or if it is a regular soda it is going to have a lot of extra calories and most people don't necessarily feel full from a soda water for example. It will have the same sensation as if they were drinking water so that's a lot of calories that you will actually be consuming without realizing that you are adding those to your overall meal budget. So as much as you can really stick with sugar free or diet drinks or just plain old water or unsweetened tea with your meal. So those are just a few tips for how to eat healthy at Buffalo Wild Wings."
