"Hi, I'm Chris Bryce from superservice.com. Today I'm going to show you, how to format a flash drive. And I'm going to show you how to format that flash drive, in a flash. The easiest way to format a flash drive, is to take the flash drive or thumb drive, and put it in the USB connection on the side of the computer. Once you insert the flash drive into the computers USB port, it should automatically pop up with the dialog box, that give you the option of opening the files, using Windows Explorer. You're going to want to go ahead and choose this option, and then click, okay. Once the files come up under displayed, on the left hand side of the screen, you'll see a list of the available drives on your computer. One of those drives will be the flash drive that you had inserted, in this case it's the E: drive, the removable disk drive, or removable flash drive. You'll simply right click on that removable disk drive, and go down to select format, once you select format, the wizard will walk you through the steps of either a quick format, or a full format. Quick formats are great if you just want to quickly erase the files that are on the disk, and then allow you to add more files to that flash drive. The full format really comes in play, when you want to make sure that all traces of information are completely removed. You do the full format, it'll take up to a few minutes to do that, and then you can continue to copy new files to that flash drive. And that's it, that's the best way to format a flash drive."
