How to Clean a Car Convertible Top

"Today we're going to talk about cleaning the convertible top of your vehicle and since I don't have a convertible top to demonstrate upon, what we're going to do is basically just give you some guidelines to use when selecting or trying to clean your convertible top. If you have a cloth top then you always want to use a cleaner that is designed specifically for the type of convertible top that you have. If its a vinyl top, use a vinyl cleaner. If its a cloth top, you're always going to use a convertible cloth cleaner. So its very simple and just follow the direction that the manufacturer specifies and you're going to come out on top. Never try to clean your convertible top with a way unapproved by the manufacturer of the vehicle so you always want to purchase a good quality convertible top cleaner and use it per the manufacturer's instructions. And if you have just a regular hardtop, you can go ahead and clean it as you would just any other vehicle but you always want to make sure the general rule of thumb and the only thing to use or the rule to stick by when cleaning your convertible top is use the proper cleaning system that either the manufacturer recommends or you can go to your local auto goods supplier and buy a convertible cleaner for the type of material that you have."
