How to Add a Video to a Blog

"Him I'm Michael Burton with MichaelBurtonFilms.org located in Salt Lake City, Utah. We're here talking about Internet essentials. Now, I want to show you how to add video content to your blog spot. Okay, to add video to your blog, it's very, fairly simple. I went ahead and pulled up my blogger at blogger.com so that we can check this out. We're going to go to a new post right here, and this will give us the opportunity to add a new post, add some tags, a title, some images, maybe some video. We're going to go ahead and show you how to add a video. Right here next to the add a photo icon, there's a little film strip looking icon here. That's how you add some video. Go ahead and choose to add the video, and it will give you the option here in a second to upload. Here we go. Add a video to your blog post. You choose the file that you want to upload by going into your my documents, your desk, or wherever desktop or wherever you store these video clips. Once you select open and select that, you will put a video title in here. Let's say that, you know, test video here. You'll agree to the terms, and then once you agree to the terms, you click upload video. Now, as this may take a few minutes; we're not going to go ahead and do this, but once you click upload video, it will upload your video, and then it will place it inside your posting. And after it's placed it right here in your posting, you can add text, and then you can also, copy and paste the code for the video around the text, depending whether you want the video on top, to appear on top or on the bottom, and then when you're done, you come down here to the bottom left and click publish post. That will publish your text and your video to your blog spot, and when you're finished, you come up here to the top, and you click view blog, and it automatically appears in your blog, and you can, you can check that out. Most blog spots should function the same. I know that blogger dot com is a free blogspot which I use. There are also other blogs out there that you can pay for. They have a lot more features and things that you can do to upload the videos. It's fairly the same. If you're going to upload a video from Youtube, you can either upload the video if you have it on your computer. If you want to upload a link to Youtube, you can copy and paste and embed the code right into your blogspot right from the Youtube page."
