"Hi, Michael Burton with michaelburtonfilms.org, located in Salt Lake City, Utah. We're here talking about Internet essentials, now I want to show you how to chat on MSN Messenger. Okay, to chat on MSN messenger is a very simple process. I went ahead and set up an account, I currently don't use MSN Messenger, but I went ahead and set up an account. As you can see on the screen I have my Windows Live Messenger pulled up, I went ahead and used my alternate E-mail address, which is mbgoms@yahoo.com which I'm going to use to demonstrate how you're supposed to instant message. It's going to show us that we're off-line, currently as you can see where it says off-line, but if we double click on this, it'll bring up a notice saying, welcome to off-line Instant Messaging, any messages you send off-line contacts will be received the next time they sign in. So the next time I sign into my other E-mail, the messages will automatically pop up for me. So we're just going to click okay, now let me drag this to the center. Okay, this is our Instant Messenger, or our MSN Messenger screen, you can see down here at the bottom, underneath these smiley faces, this is where our text will go, so we want to say, "Hi, my name is Michael", I want to send this to myself, or to another person, depending on who I've chosen to instant chat with, we come down here to where it says send, and we click send. Right here it says, Michael says, "Hi my name is Michael", and then what we'll be able to do is- Now, if we were instant messaging someone right now, when they responded, their name would pop up here and give us the message in either in red or blue, and then it will tell us- and then we can respond accurately. So every time we type a message down here, we can then just click, hit enter or click send, it'll automatically send the message to that person who we want to send the message to. You can also invite friends, you can invite other people to join current conversations that you're currently in, we can do that right now because we're not currently in a conversation with someone, I just wanted to demonstrate that to you. But there are ways you can actually invite another friend as you're speaking with someone else, to join the conversation, and then you guys can just all three talk together."
