You're getting divorced, and you suddenly decide you want to keep your house. Hi I'm Robert Todd, and I'm here to answer, how do I keep my house in a divorce. Well perhaps before you can get an answer to that question, you need to ask yourself several questions. First of all can you afford to maintain and keep up the house if you are awarded the house? Next what is the outstanding mortgage? Are you in order to keep the house going to have to pay off that mortgage and refinance? And if that's, the case are you going to have the ability to refinance? Or are you going to have to pay half of the equity in the house to the other spouse? And if so, are you going to be in a financial position to do that? And if you do that are you going to have the ability to keep the house running?
