"Hi I'm Gretchen Rivas and today we are going to be talking about how to give a scalp massage. When you are working with somebody's head a lot of it depends on how much hair they have. If they don't have a lot of hair like he doesn't that makes it easy. If somebody has a lot of thick long hair you want to have them pull it out of the clip if they have it up in a clip and it makes it a lot easier. One thing you want to do is you want to turn their head and rest their head in your palm on the other side so that way you can get to the back of the head and massage the head like this and you want to massage the whole area especially down around the neck area too when you are working on the scalp since it is all connected. This helps it feel really good. You want to turn the head and rest it in your palm on the other side and do the other side of the scalp and the back of the neck and around the ears and all over the head and rest their head back in the middle. You can take both hands and rub the head around the hair, a little bit on the forehead and if they do have a lot of hair, sometimes it depends on the person of course but it feels good to just get a little bit of pull to the hair. It feels nice. Some people don't like that though so check in with your client on that and just massage it as long as they want. Most people usually like this a lot. I know I do when I go to get my hair done. She can rub my head all day usually so rub your client's head as long as they wish and that is how you give a scalp massage."
