"Hello, my name is Penny Smith. I am a North Carolina real estate broker, and today I would like to talk to you about tips on renting an apartment. When you are renting an apartment, you need to keep a few things in mind, whether it's your first apartment or your tenth apartment. Tips on renting it is that you need to have a lease contract. You need to know that a lease contract is a legal and binding contract for both you as well as the landlord. You need to know whether what you can and cannot do at that apartment. What you can and cannot have in that apartment, as well as the things that that landlord is required to do for you while you occupy that apartment. You also need to have a move-in checklist that you go over with the landlord, and you proceed to go through before you move in. You need to take a camera. Any damages to the apartment, you need to take pictures and attach it to the move-in checklist. That way when you get ready to move out, everything's documented and you can have proof of things that were done before you moved in. These are tips on renting an apartment.
