"Hello my name is Penny Smith and I'm a real estate broker in North Carolina. Today's topic is how to find the value of a house by address. That means that you are looking at a house that is probably for sale by owner and you want to know if that for sale by owner has a decent value on that house or maybe you want to be a for sale by owner yourself and you want to sell that home. Here is my recommendation. Find a real estate agent, a real estate agent that works in the area. They can do what is called a current market analysis because they have to their access different programs and different internet connections that they can tell you what houses that are similar in size and similar in location have already sold for. If you want to sell your house call a good real estate agent to come out and tell them you want them to do a CMA and to tell you what your house is worth. If you want to buy a house that is already on the market for sale call a good real estate agent and they can tell you whether that house is valued at a correct price. The only other way to do it is to go pay an appraiser to appraise that house before you even have a contract on it which could easily be throwing away $500 because that is what a good appraiser is going to charge you between $350 and $500 to do an appraisal on typical single family home. Instead of throwing your money away hire a real estate agent. They can do the same job for you and that will get your ball rolling so that you know you're not just throwing your money away or wasting your time.
