"I'm Gloria Campbell, president and CEO of Advantage Training Systems located in Saint Petersburg, Florida. Getting the job interview is the first step to getting the job. There are a lot of different things that you can do to get that job interview and I'm going to tell you just a few of them. The first thing I'd probably suggest is be creative. Everybody puts it in the mail, everybody sends it to the prospective company. One of the things you're going to want to know is get the name of the person who's going to be looking at your interview. Make sure that's it's included on the envelope. I've had people send it FedEX, I've had them stamp on there, private and confidential, so that it gets directly to that person. The other thing you want to do is once they take a look at the resume, make sure that there's something on there that grabs them. The jury's out as to whether you put pictures on there or whether you put your dog or your wife. I'd say make it professional. Let your resume and let your accomplishments speak for themselves. But getting that job interview is the first step. Also, if you know someone that works for the company, help them help you get that job interview. This is Gloria Campbell. I'm with Advantage Training Systems in Saint Petersburg, Florida. And I know you are going to get that next job interview."
