Video Transcript

"Hello, my name is Luis Estrada, and I am a software developer. In this video, I will show you how to add a horizontal line to a web page. There are many ways to define a line across a page. The two most common ones include using the hr tag, or horizontal rule tag. For example,... Save the file and refresh the browser. The other way is to draw a repeated image across the page. In this case, we have a two by two pixels blue square in the same directory as our HTML file. We will insert this image on the page using an image tag like this. Create a new tag and write img for image, src for source, and specify the name of the image file. Then, add the width attribute. Let's make it 200 pixels wide. Then, specify the height attribute at 3 pixels. Save the page and refresh your browser. While the hr tag makes a line break between surrounding text, the image tag doesn't, so you may want to include a break line before and after the image tag, like this. I am Luis Estrada, and I've just shown you how to create web pages using HTML."
