"Have you ever been out, drinking with your friends and enjoying a night on the town when you pop into a new bar, and the person serving your drink is an absolute knockout? Well, my name's Micah, and I'm going to teach you how to pick up your bartender. You have to remember, that as bartenders, we get hit on all the time. Every day, multiple times a day. It gets very old. So the most important thing is to not come with a tired old line, cause I guarantee we've heard it before, and we probably won't appreciate it that much. Secondly, present yourself well; be a good patron, be a good drinker. Know what you want to order, don't sit there and hem and haw, because that just shows you're an amateur, and bartenders don't like amateur drinkers. Third: always be kind, from the beginning until the end. Say please, say thank you, be courteous to bartender. We get a lot of rude people in there, and it's a breath of fresh air when someone's nice and treats you well. Third: order something! Always be drinking. Be in contact with your bartender. Let them know that you're there and available. Don't come on too strong. Don't seem overeager. Hold back, have casual conversation. Let them know, casually, that you enjoy talking to them. You might think about slipping them your number at the end of the night. But again, don't be overeager, because that'll just turn us off. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to tip well. Nobody will ever call you if you leave them a stingy tip. One of my biggest pet peeves is when girls leave me two dollars and then their phone number at the bottom - on a fifty dollar tab. They're guaranteed to not get a call back, because they're cheap, and don't know how to go out properly. My name's Micah, and that's how to pick up your bartender."
