"So, you're having a party at your house, but you don't know how to properly stock your bar for your guests. My name's Micah, and I'm going to talk to you about how to properly stock your bar for a cocktail party. Now, stocking your bar is very important, because you don't want to have nothing of one thing, too much of another. Know what your guests like to drink. If these are close friends, you probably already know, generally, what their favorite beverages are. Be sure to have plenty of those on hand. You know the girl that only drinks Jim Beam? Have a bottle for her. If one of your friends only drinks something else, be sure to have that there. It increases everybody enjoyment when they have a beverage that they really like. Now, the way to go about this systematically is to have a list before you go to the liquor store. Go to your bar, survey what you already have. Simple inventory. If you have some whiskey, some vodka, say, some rum, you might want to augment that with several different varieties, flavors, what not. Now, you also want to be sure to have plenty of other beverages besides just liquor. Have a few kinds of beer: lagers, ales, pilsners, what have you. Have some wine; often times there's people there don't like liquor or beer, females in, specifically only drink wine, only a certain kind. Try to have three on hand, a white, a red, and a rose, maybe a little sparkling wine. Most importantly, make sure you plan on having enough for your party. You don't want to run out of alcohol, it's bad form, it's bad hosting, everybody gets upset, nobody has fun. My name's Micah, and that's how to stock your bar for a cocktail party."
