"Hi there if you are wondering about how to start a basic chair massage I'm going to show you right now. I'm Sundae with Natural Sundae. Now the most important thing you want to make sure before you start your massage is that your client is going to be comfortable in the chair so you want to make sure that all the adjustable and moving parts are set for your client which includes the chest plate right here, the face cradle, it can adjust up and down like that, the forearm rest and of course the seat itself. You can go ahead and lean forward. Now to start the chair massage once the client has been placed and is very comfortable you just want to start relaxing that client whether it be rocking back and forth and you want to just make them really relax so that they are going to accept your touch and then you can start with compression movements and you can start at the top of the neck pressing in with your fingers and moving all the way down the spine on each side, moving all the way down the spine. You can also use compression on the top of the shoulders, each side of the spine all the way down. You can use the palm of your hands by circular compression which is called friction all the way down and of course you are going to do this on each side of the spine. So you start at the top of the neck by the ear and move your way down the neck and then you start using friction on the neck all the way down the spine. Then what you can do after you have done each side. You can start with the arm squeezing and kneading with the biceps and triceps and the deltoids and then you want to work your way all the way down the arm and of course you are going to want to do this on the other side and that is basically a very basic way to give a chair massage. Some people continue down and do the legs but there is usually not enough time for me to do the legs so I do stay away from that area but it is just important to relax your client, make sure they fit in the chair and just start from the neck and work your way down. Thanks for listening, I'm Sundae with Natural Sundae."
