"Hi, I'm Amelia, and I'm going to show you ways to treat your split ends. Once ends are split, that's it, they're pretty much split. There are some products on the market; Bonnecure; it's a Schwartz called product. It's called Split Ends. That's something that you can actually apply to the ends. Also Ego Boost, by TG. That's another leave in that you would actually apply to the ends. Basically all that does is it seals those ends together. It's purely cosmetic. Once you shampoo the hair, it's done. So, ideally, in order to treat your split ends, your shears are going to be your best friend, and you don't have to cut your hair up to here just because you have split ends. You can just do a light trim. And sometimes you can see it a little better when it's dry, and sometimes a little better when it's wet. Ends that are split, you tend to see a little bit better when it's dry. So, you would just lightly take this hair and comb it out, and then just nip off just the dead ends. And you'll be able to spot them because they'll look like they've been chewed on by a cat, and you just comb them down. Now, when the hair is dry, you can also use a shine product; something like a glossing cream; anything, any type of finishing product like that, even a light weight pomade, and you can run that through the ends as well. And what that will do is that will also help seal those ends together, add shine, and make that surface a lot more reflective so it looks healthier, and that's how to treat your split ends."
