"Hi everyone , this is Chris Markowski, President of Markowski Investments and hosts the Watch Dog on Wall Street radio show. Trying to teach you now about to go about improving your stock picking knowledge, well, I guess reading might help. You might want to start picking up some of those papers and financial magazines out there but you know what? They might not help either. There's an old saying on Wall Street "once it hits the front pages of a newspaper, it's already too late, all that news is already priced into the stock". A little secret here, the only thing that makes a stock, or a bond, or oil, or gold, go higher is more buying than selling and the only thing that makes it go down, is more selling than buying. Believe it or not, sometimes, you get all sorts of crazy things happening, technical things happening, in the market, which you could have all the knowledge in the entire world, you could be able to sight the annual report from XYZ Corporation off the back of your head and you know what? You'll still get it wrong. So, all the reading and all the knowledge is a great thing, I highly suggest it. You want to stay on top of what's going on with your companies but you also, more importantly, want to stay on top of what's going on in the world, understanding what's going on in the political climate , taxation, macroeconomic things that are happening here and there, that's going to actually be a better guide in what direction you go. This is Chris Markowski, your Watch Dog on Wall Street."
