Video Transcript

"Hi I'm Patti German and I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist here in New York City. In this clip we are going to talk about how to pamper your sweetheart. I think the most wonderful way to pamper your partner is by listening and hoping to understand what the feelings are about whatever your partner is talking about. Pampering isn't just about buying things or indulging in activities. It is about really helping your partner feel very special because what they have to talk about and what they have to say is important to you so if you take the time to really listen and encourage the feelings behind the thoughts then your partner will feel very very special and very well taken care of and that is what pampering is really about. There is nothing in the world like feeling the love of another person and pampering is about that and that is about really listening and helping the partner feel understood and safe so that the trust continues to grow and you can get closer and closer. Again this is Patti German in New York City."
