"Hi, I'm Patti German, and I'm a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, here in New York City. In this clip, we're going to talk about how to cope with a loved one, who has committed suicide. It's very, very difficult to begin to understand that someone, that your loved one, has committed suicide, and I think it's very important, in order to deal with this, is to really seek professional help. It's a feeling of being left, of being abandoned, of being hurt, and to understand, to work it through, with a professional counselor. In counseling, there's an opportunity to be listened to, to understand what's happening to you, as a result of it, because of the feeling of being so left, and to understand for yourself, that the choice of committing suicide, is not a choice. It's to understand, what happened to your loved one, what may have caused this to happen, how desperate a person can be,and sometimes, it's just coming out of a depression, and somebody gets the strength to face a reality, so I think in seeking professional help, you can understand the inner reasons, as to what may have caused this. This is Patti German, in New York City."
